What you get out of it

The Night And The Floor gives you this.

Not the kitchen on night one. Three to five nights instead of a fortnight.

Why it takes people months

Both problems are schedules. Almost nobody writes the schedule down.

Yes — I want everyone to sleep

How a step is written

Thirty-six steps, each on a page

Night 1–4

Beside The Bed

  • The crate goes beside your bed, not in another room
  • One toilet trip in the night: no light, no play, no talking
  • Moved a metre further away every few nights, once he settles
  • Four nights for most puppies, and it feels much longer
Time —First fortnight

Week 1

The Written Schedule

  • On waking, after eating, after playing, every forty minutes
  • Same door, same spot, same word
  • Marker the instant he finishes, not when he comes back in
  • Printed and on the fridge, because nobody remembers at 3am
Time all daySix weeks

Week 5

When It Goes Backwards

  • Almost every puppy regresses somewhere around here
  • Usually the schedule slipped, not the puppy
  • Back to the previous interval for a week, without drama
  • If it continues, that is a vet visit, not a training question
Time —One week

Thirty-three more steps across the first nights, the schedule, accidents, the regression and moving the crate out.

Questions

How long until he sleeps through?

Most puppies settle in three to five nights with the setup in chapter one. Sleeping through without a toilet trip depends on his age and bladder, and the module explains the arithmetic.

Should I ignore the crying?

No, and the module explains why that advice produces slower results here. Chapter one sets up the nights so there is far less crying to ignore.

He was clean and now he is having accidents.

Chapter four covers the regression. If it persists, that is a vet visit — it can be physical, and the module says so.

Can the crate go in the kitchen from night one?

It can, and it usually makes the first week longer. The module explains the trade and how to move it out later.

Do I need the method as well?

No. This module stands alone and recaps what it needs.

What exactly do I receive?

One PDF, 6 × 9 inches, with printable schedule sheets at the back.

What if it is not for me?

Write within 60 days and you get your money back. You keep the file.

This is educational material about raising and training a puppy. It is not veterinary advice, not a behavioural diagnosis, and not a treatment for any condition. Vaccination timing, when it is safe to walk in public, and anything concerning your puppy's body are questions for your vet. Real aggression, intense fear and any sudden change in behaviour belong with a veterinarian or a qualified veterinary behaviourist in person. Puppies are individuals and no method guarantees a result.
